Notice of Completion Municipal Water Supply Class Environmental Assessment Environmental Study Report Township of Georgian Bluffs The Township of Georgian Bluffs is completing a study to evaluate alternatives for Municipal water supply in a select portion of the Township (the Study Area). The Study Area includes the Georgian Bay shoreline area south of the Indian River to the limits of the City of Owen Sound, the Brooke area and the Pottawatomi Village area. This study has been conducted in accordance with the Schedule C requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment for Municipal Water and Wastewater Projects, as amended in 2015. An Environmental Study Report (ESR) for the study has now been completed which evaluates the municipal water supply alternatives. The ESR is now available for review at the Georgian Bluffs Municipal office at the address below, and online at www.georgianbluffs.ca As per the ESR, the recommended preferred alternative is expansion of the East Linton water system to service the Study Area. Interested persons should provide written comment on the ESR to Georgian Bluffs at the address below within 30 calendar days of this Notice. If concerns arise regarding this project, which cannot be resolved in discussion with the Municipality, a person or party may request the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks make an order for the project to comply with Part II of the Environmental Assessment Act (referred to as a Part II Order), which addresses individual environmental assessments. Requests must be received in writing by the Minister at the address below within 30 calendar days of this Notice. A copy of the request must also be sent in writing to the municipal contact named below. If no request is received within the 30-day review period, the project, subject to approval by Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs, may proceed as outlined in the ESR, conditional on available funding and receipt of other required approvals.
